ORANGE PARK – HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, formerly Orange Park Medical Center, took a few moments last week to celebrate its name change with confetti and brief comments before staff and doctors returned to their duties.
The name change, according to CEO Lisa Valentine, won’t mean the hospital will change the way it provides care.
“Certainly, we are Orange Park Hospital, but we’re the same family providing the same care.” Dr. Deevid Miller, a member of the Board of Trustees, said, “New name, same family.
Farewell Orange Park Medical Center and welcome to HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital.” HCA is the largest hospital organization in Florida.
